Measurement instruments — frequently asked questions

Which instrument should I choose for paint colour QC?
A spectrophotometer such as Spectro2guide or Spectro2go suits inspection and colour matching; the benchtop Color2view is ideal for a QC laboratory.
Should I choose a 20°, 60° or 85° gloss meter?
60° is the all-purpose angle; 20° is for high-gloss surfaces and 85° for low-gloss. The Micro-TRI-gloss measures all three angles in one instrument.
Do the instruments include calibration and warranty?
Yes — BYK-Gardner instruments carry a 12-month manufacturer warranty, with calibration, training and technical support in Vietnam.
