Overview
BYK-µPELT 5 is a handheld multilayer film-thickness gauge using high-resolution PELT ultrasonic technology to measure up to 5 separate layers at once, 5–400 µm, on almost any substrate — steel, aluminum, plastics, composites and wood. It is non-destructive with no special sample preparation, and shows each layer's thickness and the total at every spot on a color touchscreen. Widely used for automotive coatings, its low energy is ideal for high-frequency, high-resolution measurement; smart-chart software provides professional analysis and reporting. All BYK‑Gardner instruments supplied by K&K carry a 12-month manufacturer warranty.
