Overview
The Cross-Cut Kit tests coating adhesion by the crosshatch method to ASTM D3359: a right-angled lattice is cut through the coating to the substrate to assess resistance to detachment — usable as a quick Pass/Fail test, including between layers of a multi-coat system. This single-blade version has 11 teeth at 1.5 mm spacing; hardened-steel blades and a pivoting head make alignment on the surface easy. All BYK‑Gardner instruments supplied by K&K carry a 12-month manufacturer warranty.
