BYK-PELT-Transducer MB
Medium-frequency ultrasonic transducer for automotive coatings — 10–400 µm, high resolution.
Overview
BYK-PELT-Transducer MB is a medium-frequency ultrasonic transducer for multilayer film-thickness measurement on automotive coatings, covering 10–400 µm with high resolution for thin layers — the replacement for the PELT-XER-M model. Its Generation II ('B') transducer technology delivers higher sensitivity and resolution than Generation I: better separation of low-contrast layers and accurate measurement of thinner layers. BYK classifies transducers by frequency — low for layers up to 5 mm, medium for 18–500 µm, and high for thin layers down to 5 µm. All BYK‑Gardner instruments supplied by K&K carry a 12-month manufacturer warranty.
