Cross-Cut Kit 6, 1-edge 2 mm
Single-blade crosshatch adhesion kit to ASTM D3359 — 6 teeth, 2 mm spacing for thicker coatings.
Overview
The Cross-Cut Kit tests coating adhesion by the crosshatch method to ASTM D3359: a right-angled lattice is cut through the coating to the substrate to assess resistance to detachment — usable as a quick Pass/Fail test, including between layers of a multi-coat system. This single-blade version has 6 teeth at 2 mm spacing, suited to thicker coatings; hardened-steel blades and a pivoting head make alignment easy. All BYK‑Gardner instruments supplied by K&K carry a 12-month manufacturer warranty.
Key Features
